Athelhampton House Wedding Photographer

Wedding Photography at Athelhampton House is always incredibly satisfying to create, this independently owned and run house, dedicated to weddings, is located in the beautiful county of Dorset, close to Tolpuddle of Tolpuddle Martyrs fame.

Rambling Athelhampton House has grown around the Great Hall, built in 1485 by a Lord Mayor of London. The fifteenth century decorations, including intricately plastered ceiling, oak panelling and stained glass windows together with the Jacobean furnishings, provide a rich and textured backdrop to wedding photojournalism in Dorset.

Athelhampton House sits in 160 acres of parkland which is open to the public and a very useful resource for natural Dorset wedding photography. Grade 1 listed, it includes 8 walled gardens designed in the nineteenth century. Famous sculptural yews of the courtyard, fountains and terraces are wonderful aids to Dorset wedding photographers.

All main rooms of varying capacities are licenced for civil wedding ceremonies and their in house planners will advise. The whole house can be exclusively hired and there are luxurious bedrooms available for your guests including a 6 bedroom cottage in the grounds. The largest capacity is to be found in the Coach House which can service 300 for a reception party.

Their catering team use local produce to produce menus to your specification.
