Hindu Wedding Photojournalism In Hertfordshire | Anita & Avin

I photograph a handful of Hindu weddings across the UK each year and they never fail to disappoint! I really enjoy the ordered chaos and absolutely love working with the vivid tones and personalities which really adds a punch to my reportage wedding photography portfolios.

Hindu Wedding Photography In Stevenage

I photographed Anita and Avin's Asian wedding photography at the Barclay School in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. They required the school's large assembly hall in order to fit the 600 or so wedding guests in for the ceremony.

Hindu weddings provide everything on a plate for the wedding photojournalist, this documentary style of wedding photography really suits Asian weddings.

The light in this school was very good to work with which I really didn't expect. All natural wedding photography was created using available light only - which I think gives it a raw simplicity - a contrast to some more traditional Hindu wedding photography which I find can appear overworked and a little forced.

Anita and Avin did very well, remaining calm and composed - despite a very bossy priest!

I have really enjoyed working with this couple and look forward to being the Hindu wedding photographer at their second wedding ceremony; a civil ceremony at Whipsnade Zoo later in the year...
