Post a Comment I photographed Jemma's brothers wedding at Wellington Barn in Calne on a blisteringly hot day in August 2007, so it was really nice to catch up with the family and in particular Jemma and Tom again. Today's pre wedding photo shoot took place in the wood and farmland directly behind the reception venue - this will be fantastic on the wedding day as we can just pop out when the light is just right!
This year's wedding reception will be held at Marden House in Calne, a great setting for the very relaxed, personal atmosphere that the family are trying to create for everyone.
Although I'm a documentary based wedding photographer, I find these pre wedding shoots incredibly useful; everyone becomes so much more familiar which makes natural photography on the day effortless. It means you are able to work closer to people without them becoming flustered. In fact, a lot of the time people don't notice me at all and this is when the beautiful, natural wedding photography really starts to flow.
I look forward to the traditional church wedding in Calne later in the year.
