Weddings at the Matara Centre have superb natural light, even on a fairly miserable day. It really is the perfect wet weather venue in the Cotswolds; the rooms absorb so much natural light that rain has no impact on the wedding day. And if you do manage to get outside the grounds are truly magnificent, a touch of class and exceptionally unique. Weddings here tend to be relatively small in numbers and often have a very personal, intimate character to them - very nice for documentary wedding photography.

Katie and Mark are both vets, so it was important to have the appropriate entertainment. Milk the cow contests, I now know, are ruthlessly competitive, especially when mildly intoxicated vets and farmers are participating. Although there were some great shots of the milking, the Jenga games during the evening reception edged it for me.
