Great Fosters Wedding Photographer
Reportage wedding photographers would be pleased indeed to work at the best of country house hotels, and one of the first to be converted. Great Fosters wedding venue in Surrey is nothing short of stunning.
Richly decorated in every way, the Elizabethan Manor provides sumptuous backdrops for premium wedding photojournalism in Surrey.
For natural wedding photography, the Surrey venue, which is surrounded by an ancient Saxon moat, is ideal. Owned by the Sutcliffes, who bought from the cash strapped Montagu banking family in the late 1920s, the hotel remains a family affair.
Since the storms of 87 and 90, they and English Heritage have invested a great deal in restoring Gerald Montagu's Arts and Crafts garden. About 10 years ago they incorporated neighbouring land to ameliorate the affects of the M25 and embarked on a twenty year, phased expansion and restoration plan of the Great Fosters house and garden.
Great Fosters is licensed for civil and partnership ceremonies indoors and out for just over 200. For more intimate wedding photojournalism, The Tudor room, which is licensed for up to 30, has a great ambience for low light winter wedding photography.
Their catering team can provide for up to 180 seated (250 evening) in the Tithe Barn, which was relocated to the venue in the 30s. A night's stay is complimentary to the bride and groom of course.
You can can hire the venue exclusively which includes bed and breakfast with 44 bedrooms, the grounds and Oak Room restaurant.
Well located, this venue would make a lovely honeymoon retreat.
