Inner Temple Wedding Photographer
With impressive opportunities for wedding photographers working in London, The Inner Temple is gloriously located in the centre of London with a fabulous and award winning, three acre garden overlooking the Thames, the Inner Temple is a most prestigious London wedding venue. The Inner Temple is one of four ancient Inns of Court, the others being Middle Temple, Gray's Inn and Lincoln Inn formed in the fourteenth century for the purposes of recruiting, educating and housing barristers and judges. The Inner Temple is a particular favourite for top wedding photographers in London, weddings there are truly unique.
Originally two dining halls, chambers, dormitories and other buildings were erected in conjunction with the Temple church in the twelfth century by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters. The uniquely round church is based on the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and was consecrated on the 2nd February 1185. This beautiful London church would make an ideal setting for your wedding ceremony in the city but their special licence conditions require that one of you has a connection with the church or the Inner or Middle Temple.
The Inner Temple is licenced for civil ceremonies (you will need to arrange for your registrar through the Islington Registry Office) and has four impressive, Georgian style functions rooms and its award winning garden to select from. The prestigious rooms are located on the first floor and accessed by a grand staircase. As they interconnect and have access to the main corridor, the venue provides a great deal of flexibility and, of course, if you hire the whole floor you will have exclusive use for your wedding day.
The Main Hall is the largest and this banqueting hall can seat 250. Furnished with oak paneling and a beautifully moulded high ceiling, the hall has tall stained glass windows along two walls providing a natural light source which will aid London wedding photographers that favour more natural, documentary wedding photography. Portraits of previous Lord Chancellors make an impressive display.
Parliament Chamber is smaller with floor to ceiling oak paneling and a fine ceiling. Tall windows run along one side and the room can cater for 90 seated.
Luncheon Room which is used daily by the Masters of the Bench and overlooks the Temple gardens is more intimate, seating about 65. A cosy and light room with tall windows along one wall.
Smoking Room is a similar size to the Luncheon Room but seats less at 30. Very light as its Georgian style windows run along two walls.
Inner Temple Garden was originally the home of the Chelsea Flower Show (1888-1913). This tranquil and peaceful three acre garden overlooks the Thames and can accommodate 1200 wedding guests and provides many opportunities for great wedding photography in London. A marquee can also be erected if required.
This distinguished London wedding venue is available from 16:00 during the week and all day at the weekend. There is free on site vehicular parking all day during the weekend and from 18:30 in the week.
Of course, such a prestigious city wedding venue provides in house catering and a wedding planning service.
