Lower Slaughter Manor Wedding Photographer
Ideal for Cotswold wedding photojournalists, Lower Slaughter Manor is well located in the Cotswolds and sits in a quintessentially English village of yellow sandstone with the River Eye meandering along its front boundary. The Cotswold village centre does not change, it is protected and so it is a gorgeous scene for Gloucestershire wedding photographers to use when shooting stunning documentary style wedding photography.
In 1655 a talented stone mason, Valentine Strong, was engaged to build the manor which still exists today, but with one to two hundred year old extensions. Some interior features remain from the seventeenth century including stone fireplaces and extravagant stuccoed plasterwork ceilings. These features are complimented by well upholstered sofas, expensive textiles, antique furniture and decorative works.
Together with the log fires this would make a very cosy setting for a Cotswold winter wedding. The low light levels are perfectly within the capabilities of the Gloucestershire wedding photojournalist and indeed would result in rather romantic wedding photography.
Each of the nineteen rooms or suites are individually designed and furnished in an eclectic manner; some even have a private garden with hot tub.
Sitting in five acres, the manor can be hired exclusively with sole use of public areas and would be an ideal opportunity for delightful Cotswold wedding photojournalism. And you could be pampered by their beauty and complimentary therapy treatments on the morning of your wedding.
Licensed for ceremonies and partnerships the manor can take up to 74 dining guests in their award winning restaurant.
