Here are a small selection of my favourite wedding photography from this charming, traditional church wedding in Chester.
David and Jane were both clear from the start about the desire for wedding photojournalism. They wanted a much more candid, reportage style wedding photography to document their wedding day rather than having a huge list of formal family group photographs to capture.

I enjoyed the entire wedding day but the lead up to the traditional church ceremony was my particular favourite for photography. There is a certain amount of nervous energy floating around at that point of a wedding day which makes for fantastic and sometimes amusing wedding photojournalism - some people go totally silent others incredibly chatty!
The wedding drinks reception and wedding breakfast was held at the Grosvenor Hotel in Pulford - a short distance from the church for a nice relaxed drinks reception; lots of very content wedding guests to photograph with the sun finally making an appearance after quite an overcast morning.
My wedding photojournalist coverage continued through to the wedding breakfast speeches and the bride and groom's first dance.
