Steph & Kris have been fantastic to work with, from the pre wedding photo shoot at the studio in Wiltshire through to their brilliant wedding at Goldney Hall which is a small, more intimate wedding venue and part of Bristol University. It's my second wedding at Goldney Hall and I really quite like this little venue, mainly for the great natural light that the orangery allows in. They were living in Sydney, Australia when they booked me for their wedding. They both did exceptionally well at planning and organising every little detail from the other side of the world. They also planned their wedding to coincide with a move back to the UK, so quite an achievement.
From our first meeting, which happened to be their pre wedding photo shoot, we hit it off. Probably as soon as Kris started quoting Alan Partridge.
It rained hard on the wedding day. In fact, this has probably been my wettest wedding so far this year. But it really didn't matter, we still got great shots outside, simply by using the beautiful tunnel of trees in the Goldney Hall gardens as shelter and the orangery provided the perfect setting for the remainder of the reception. There was plenty of natural light coming into the orangery for me to shoot right up to and including the first dance with just ambient light.
Here are just a few of my favourite images from the day...
