My photography studio is located on farmland in the picturesque village of Aldbourne, Marlborough in Wiltshire. This incredible area of outstanding natural beauty comes alive during this time of year; I consider myself extremely lucky to have such a tranquil, inspiring location both to work and entertain wedding couples from.
A lot of my wedding couples live and work in London and, to some, a visit to the west country is often a welcome break on a weekend. Myles and Danny came over to my Wiltshire photo studio earlier in the year for a good chat about their wedding photography requirements then came over again on the following weekend for their pre wedding photo shoot - which I really appreciate.
They also brought along Edward and Charles - two slightly mischievous miniature Schnauzers. The shoot was great fun, a few of my favourites are available to view. All portrait photography in Aldbourne was shot just a minute's walk from the studio on the Ridgeway - an ancient track running through Wiltshire, often decribed as Britain's oldest road.
The idea of these pre wedding photography shoots is not only to improve couple's confidence in front of the camera but to also build rapport by getting to know everyone (including the dogs) a little better. This familiarity is priceless for the wedding day photography.
Danny and Myles are now also regulars at the local pub - each visit to the studio results in a trip to the Blue Boar - an authentic, traditional pub in the village that serves fantastic grub!
