Indian Wedding | Krupa & Daniel

If we could describe Allister in three words it would be calm, easy going and very talented. When choosing our photographer we wanted someone who has lots of experience with multi-cultural weddings as we had two religious ceremonies. The weddings were over two days and it made sense for us to have Allister capture both.

We don’t like the typical posed wedding shots – we wanted something natural and fun. Allister managed to capture the tears and the laughter of us and our guests throughout our celebrations and we are so pleased with the results!!!

Allister was of great support during the planning process too. Weddings can be stressful and having people who are approachable, reliable and kind makes everything so much easier.

Thank you so much Allister – we hope we can work again with you one day.

Below are just a few of my favourite images created during the two days I worked with the lovely Krupa and Daniel. The first day saw us celebrating their Indian wedding at Micklefield Hall in Hertfordshire and the second, a catholic service with closest family and friends at The Oratory of Saint Phillip Neri in Birmingham.

Asian Wedding Photography at Plaisterers' Hall, One London Wall - Part 2 | Rakesh & Nikki

Venue: Plaisterer's Hall Welcome to Part Two of Rakesh & Nikki's fabulous asian wedding photography! In Part One I showed you my very favourite images from their pre wedding shoot, civil and Sikh ceremonies however, Part Two definitely features the bigger, more action-packed images from the two days.

I'd not worked at Plaisterer's Hall until now. It's a truly magnificent building both inside and out and the ideal place for a large Asian wedding party. We were the documentary wedding photographers for Rakesh and Nikki's colourful Hindu ceremony followed by a great wedding reception and an even greater evening party.

We have just looked through all the photos. Incredible. We both love them, especially the black and white wedding photography! Thank you so much for covering our special days. We enjoyed every minute and you really have captured the whole experience.

Thank you so much!

Nikki and Rakesh

Asian wedding photography is traditionally quite staged and let's face it, pretty stuffy. I know from experience that group photographs will always play a significant role at a wedding like this and it would be unfair if I refused to do group photographs. However, Asian weddings are also the perfect breeding ground for powerful documentary wedding photography - there is just so much going on, so much narrative to capture, so many characters and vibrancy, you simply cannot stop yourself becoming part of the chaos and have no choice but to embrace it!

We do between fifteen and twenty Asian weddings a year and start at £3250 for two photographers covering up to 15 hours of coverage each, we often create bespoke packages so get in touch to discuss your needs.

Here are a few of my favourites, I had the pleasure of working with Paul Williams on this wedding...enjoy!

Anita & Avin's Hindu wedding at Whipsnade Zoo

I first worked with Anita and Avin in April this year at their Hindu wedding in Hertfordshire. I thoroughly enjoyed myself that day, as I always do with Asian weddings, but they are also incredibly nice people to work with. A few weeks ago I then photographed their second wedding; a civil ceremony at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire. I'd been looking forward to working with Anita and Avin again, I was also hugely excited at the prospect of photographing a wedding at a zoo - I had no idea that you could do this! It's great having quirky commissions dotted throughout the year to keep you on your toes.

They were both very keen to stick to the more relaxed style of wedding photography; it's incredibly easy to become swamped by requests for formal family group photographs, especially at Asian weddings; endless group shots really eat into the day and ultimately leave less time for the images that actually capture the essence of a wedding.

We did really well by keeping group shots to minimum and maintaining the casual style and atmosphere of this wedding day.

"Thank you so much Allister! The photography is amazing - even when the rain fell you captured the moments beautifully.

Everyone commented on how lovely you were to work with at both the Hindu and civil ceremonies.

We look forward to having the final wedding albums, it was a real pleasure to have you around on our special day. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family.

Thank you once again for all the time and effort you have put into capturing the memories that we will treasure forever - you are a true credit to the photography profession."
