Two weddings and a renewal

Another great little write up in The Times, this time for the lovely Emily and Calum.

Emily and Calum’s wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral, followed by a party for 250 friends and family, was a landmark occasion, and only part one of their celebrations. Six weeks later they married again in front of 130 guests at a manor house in Scotland.

Babington House Wedding | Oxana & John

Oxana & John’s wedding was a genuinely beautiful wedding day.

Oxana’s immediate Russian family attended the wedding and, despite the evident language barrier, blended so well with John’s English family and friends.

It was incredibly touching to witness and document Oxana’s strong bond with her father throughout the day, I’m particularly fond of the images created during their emotional walk down the aisle to meet with John as well as her father’s speech, who doesn’t speak a word of English, being translated by the Oxana’s brother.

Babington House Wedding Photo

As a documentary wedding photographer, I always look to photograph the atmosphere of a day as authentically as possible, this includes honestly depicting characters and relationships in my work, meaning any perceived language barrier was simply irrelevant.

All preparations, the ceremony and the reception took place on the gorgeous grounds of Babington House, a Soho hotel and members' club nestled in the heart of Somerset and a particularly favourite venue for me having shot some of my most memorable weddings there in recent years.

I enjoyed every minute of working with these lovely families, below are just a few of my absolute favourites from the day.

Just had a little article published in the May edition of the Acadamy magazine.

In the article I discuss how I got started in photography, a little about my background, what and who inspires me, some info on kit together with plenty of helpful tips and advice for aspiring wedding photographers.
