How would you best describe your style?
In essence, I don't dictate or direct but instead observe to discreetly cover events as they happen. I photograph your day as it naturally unfolds, capturing real moments and creating a timeless record of your day.

Black and white, what is your process?
I always photograph everything in colour and regularly provide couples with a full colour gallery to site alongside their black and white and colour collection. With a typical collection of images I tend to convert around 60% to black and white during the later stages of post production. Just let me know your preferences upon booking or get in touch if you have questions about my processing or would like to see more work.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes, I always have at least three cameras and multiple lenses, it’s exceptionally rare that a technical issue occurs but in the event that it does, I’m covered!
How long have you been a wedding photographer and how many weddings do you shoot each year?
I've been a full time wedding photographer since 2004, averaging 50 weddings a year. I've documented weddings of most faiths and cultures and have worked in hundreds of different locations and venues, and across the globe!
How many images will we receive and do we get usage rights?
Images numbers largely depend on how much coverage you opt for in your package and whether you add a second photographer. During a typical wedding day, you will receive between 300 and 500 images. You are assigned full and unrestricted usage rights to print and distribute yourselves.
Do you do group photographs?
Documentary wedding photography doesn’t automatically rule out the need for groups shots. I regularly do around 3 group photographs at each wedding and will request a group photo list prior to the wedding day.
Do you do posed couple portraits and if so, when?
Typically I’ll spend 5 to 10 minutes with couples during the first 15 minutes of their drinks reception. My portraits are simply a bi-product of a nice walk in a pretty environment. I don’t pose couples. Instead, I want these portraits to blend seamlessly with the documentary coverage. You can see examples of the sort of couple portraits I look to create in my portfolio. During the summer months I may also take couples for a little walk later in the day during the golden hour, that magical light shortly before sunset.
Will you be photographing our wedding?
Yes, it will be me photographing your wedding, my name will be shown clearly on the contract between us. Read a little more about me.
Are you fully insured?
I have full, professional insurance to cover every aspect of my wedding photography services.
Does it matter if you haven’t worked at my venue before?
No. If I haven’t worked at a venue before I factor in a venue visit on the morning of the wedding (or before) to familiarise myself. If you're still concerned, please check to see if I've worked at your venue by running a search on my blog or wedding venue section.
How long after the wedding will the photographs be ready?
Your images are ready within 6 to 8 weeks following the wedding. I always aim to try and deliver them sooner than this if possible.
Where are you based and how far will you travel?
I’m based in the Wiltshire town of Devizes but most of my commissions involve wedding photography in London and the surrounding counties. I travel all over the UK and overseas, shooting weddings in France, Austria, Cyprus, Kentucky and even Melbourne!
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes, all wedding photography prices displayed are inclusive of 20% VAT.
Can we meet or chat?
