The Elvetham Hotel is widely regarded as one of the UK more exclusive wedding venues. Located in Hartley Witney, Hampshire, it boasts an illustrious history spanning centuries. The current 19th Century Grade 2 listed main house sits in 35 manicured acres of prime English greenery that provides a beautiful backdrop for weddings throughout the year.

Oliver and Katherine’s charming little wedding took place at The Elvetham in Hampshire just a few days before Christmas.

I really enjoy working at The Elvetham, weddings there are always particularly intimate and relaxed. This wedding was in December so it was pretty dark to start with, but add to that The Elvetham Hotel’s ‘moody’ atmosphere and it was quite a challenge in places!

Thankfully, the softly-lit rooms provide the ideal atmosphere for guests to mingle and relax and this really allows me to work closer and more slowly than at other venues, helping to create some very touching and atmospheric images.

Here are a few of my very favourites from this touching, warm and especially family-orientated wedding day.
