I’m Allister Freeman, a professional Gloucestershire wedding photographer with almost two decades of experience, welcome to my Greenway Hotel wedding photography page.
Greenway Hotel in Gloucestershire is a charming example of a picturesque Elizabethan country manor in the beautiful English countryside.
Tucked away in the beautiful Cotswolds hills, the Greenway Hotel sits in its own landscaped gardens and, like so many of these country venues, comes with the opportunity to obtain exclusive use of the whole manor for your special day.
Something that stands out for me about this venue though is the versatility. Many places can cater to ‘intimate’ weddings with just a few guests to large weddings with several hundred. But no do so quite like the Greenway Hotel.
The Austen Room for instance holds just 12 guests and gives a delightfully cosy and intense feel, whereas the 8 acres of grounds can accommodate the largest of marquees for the biggest weddings.
Ross and Mary’s wedding at Greenway Hotel took place in the darker winter months of the year. Greenway already has a great atmosphere with it’s imposing architecture and dark interior so it really came alive with the low winter light throughout this wedding.
The day itself was a family affair, not the largest wedding ever but full of warmth and love where everyone, including the kids (which are always a welcome sight at weddings), really had time and space to kick back, relax and enjoy the welcoming ambience.
I really loved shooting this wedding, the low light of winter is my favourite time of year anyway but coupled with the nature of Greenway Hotel it made for some great photographs.
I’ve selected a few of my favourite to share with you in the gallery below, they will give a great overview of my style but don’t forget to head up to the portfolio and gallery sections at the top of the page to see much more example of my work.
