The Elephant Hotel Wedding Photography

I’m Allister Freeman, a professional Berkshire wedding photographer with almost two decades of experience, welcome to my The Elephant Hotel wedding photography page.

The Elephant Hotel is situated along the banks of the River Thames in the busy village of Pangbourne just outside Reading. The venue styles itself as being full of ‘Quirky Luxury’ which I’d certainly agree with! It’s opulent interiors and furnishing recreate the feel of the empire from years past and make for a very unique wedding venue.

Each room at the Elephant Hotel is unique which makes for great diversity in your photographs and easy talking points for your guests. Add an atmosphere of informal banter, exquisite food and welcoming staff and you have the makings of one of the mos fun venues in the county.

Sometimes, when a couple walks in you just know instantly that you are going to hit it off and that you are the right photographer for them. That was exactly what happened with Louise and Murray. Both of them are fiercely unique and strong characters but both are gently welcoming. They made me feel part of the family for their day and that’s a relatively rare thing.

I’ll tell you what though, Murray has the eyes of an eagle! Normally I can slip through the crowd unnoticed and easily capture unsuspecting guests and couples. But Murray could see me coming a mile away, which made for some interesting photos!

Following the wedding, I received some amazing feedback from the pair and would like to share this with you below…

“Allister, you are a truly inspirational artist. From the moment I set eyes on your work, I knew you had to be the one! Your unique, stylised imagery had me completely captivated.

Our wedding was never going to be a grand affair and I remember worrying that Allister was way out of reach and that no other photographer could compare. Pure desperation encouraged me to pursue him though. I don’t quite know what I expected but when Allister agreed to a bespoke package, I was absolutely ecstatic. I had a permanent smile on my face for days!

Originality along with informality was the key focus of our day as we wanted a wedding tailored to our personalities. His patience and unassuming nature allowed him to capture truly special moments, some of which have a wonderful obscurity. His ability to accentuate an atmosphere is absolutely magical. He has an awesome talent, in fact, utterly exceptional.
