Natural Wedding Photography at Caswell House | Paul & Samantha

Paul and Samantha's Oxfordshire wedding photos were created last summer. It was sadly a wedding I didn't get the opportunity to feature on the blog last year. I say sadly, it's actually nice to be selecting from a series of shots that don't feature very grey skies and rain!

Their wedding ceremony was held at the grand St Mary's church in Bampton, this was swiftly followed by an afternoon and evening wedding reception at Caswell House in Brize Norton - a venue I've been a wedding photographer at many times in the past and am pleased to be recommended by.

I'm particularly fond of this series of shots, and the wedding for that matter. It was a remarkable day with amicable characters, a real mix of tender moments and outrageous fun.

Here's some of my favourite documentary wedding photography from their day.

Jewish Wedding Photography at The Landmark London | Alison & Gary

WOW. What a day! Alison and Gary's Jewish wedding photography took place at The Landmark hotel in north London - a truly inspiring venue. Their ceremony was held at the New West End Synagogue - an utterly breathtaking building.

This rather fast-paced Jewish wedding in London was exceptionally well planned, so many lovely elements to the day, it was a fun, loud and genuinely inspiring wedding to be part of.

The wedding band Alison and Gary hired in were epic, Metropolis turned the evening reception into the sort of celebration that it should be, everyone had a fantastic time and it really shows in the coverage.

Alison and Gary really wanted to step away from the more traditional, staged wedding photography, we still did a few family group photographs but kept things very natural. I was there to observe and not direct, working in my trademark reportage wedding photography style.

I really got swept away on this one, here are just a few of my very favourites, if you enjoy looking through them as much as I did making them, please leave a comment.

Shustoke Farm Barns Natural Wedding Photos | Christopher & Sarah

Christopher and Sarah have been fantastic to work with, their brilliant little wedding took place at the stunning Shustoke Farm Barns, just below Birmingham. It was a very intimate affair and a genuine pleasure to be part of. The relatively cold and rainy weather (a typical British day really!) didn’t matter at all, we still managed to get some great images outside. There were plenty of kids at the wedding too, so lots of unpredictable and amusing moments to photograph.

One of the things I love most about being a busy wedding photographer is that no two weddings are the same. Be it the venue, family, weather conditions or circumstances, this huge variety really keeps you on your toes and makes you constantly look for new, fresh images and perspectives. I never look to recreate images that worked at another wedding for instance, what would be the point in that? For me, it's imperative that the collection of images produced is as unique and personal to the couple as possible.

Here are just a few of my favourite wedding photographs from this fun little wedding day…
