Natural Family Portrait Photography in the South West

I had such amazing fun getting to know this lovely little family!

I do a handful of natural family portrait shoots during the summer and only in the South West.

Everything is photographed in a relaxed and natural, documentary style, the same approach I apply to my wedding photography. I want images to be believable and honest - an authentic record of a family at a specific time in their lives.

This portrait session took place at Savernake Forest on the outskirts of Marlborough in Wiltshire. It's such a beautiful location for shoots of this nature as the light is not only incredible to work in but there are so many hidden gems for the kids to explore and ultimately, become preoccupied. This allows me to go relatively unnoticed and create very natural portraiture, with little to no interaction from me needed...

Hedsor House Wedding Photography | Chloe & Paul

WOW! These are absolutely stunning! You have documented the wedding perfectly. I love being able to see parts of the day that I missed. Everything has been captured so beautifully.

I don't think we could ever thank you enough!

Chloe & Paul

It’s been so nice to get to know Chloe and Paul during their wedding prep and day. Such an amicable couple. They also know how to throw an amazing party! The atmosphere at this Hedsor House wedding was just sublime.

I’ve included a few of my absolute favourite natural photos from this exceptionally fun wedding at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire.

Wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns | Frankie & Chris

What a wedding!

The weather was incredible during this beautiful wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns, with a mixture of heavy showers and bright, May sun.

In truth, this made the light fantastic to photograph in, resulting in a huge variety of character and tone across the final collection of wedding photos.

The natural light coming into the barn was exceptional, so it really didn’t matter that it rained. In fact, I think the rain, which forced guests inside and a little closer to one another, encouraged people to mingle a little more than they perhaps would have had it not rained - breaking down those social barriers that little bit quicker and creating an incredibly friendly, warm atmosphere.

In addition to several quirky games prepared for guests, Frankie and Chris also booked a Ceilidh band for the evening. I absolutely LOVE a Ceilidh and this particular band were just brilliant.

Below are a few of my favourite wedding photographs from this fantastically-planned wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns.
