In This Moment | Declarations

This emotional reportage wedding image, featuring Zoe and Julian, was created during a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony in the Victorian Chapel at Fulham Palace in London.

What I love about this photograph is how it depicts the atmosphere and the emotion of the moment with absolute clarity.

It sums up, concisely, what I’m looking to achieve through my documentary wedding photography practice - an honest, authentic and timeless representation of a day. Nothing forced, awkward or contrived.

Emotional ceremony photograph

In 2018 I was honoured to have the image featured in this TV commercial by Penn Medicine in the US, it’s shown around 47 seconds in, worth a watch…

Meeting of minds in a college chapel

Sarah and Nick’s incredible wedding was published in The Times newspaper last month, they met at a gathering of their a cappella groups! Love that.

Their beautiful wedding ceremony was held in Exeter College Chapel, this was swiftly followed by a reception in the Bodleian Library, both part of Oxford University.

Take a look through their wedding at Oxford University on the blog or read the full feature in The Times online.

A little detective work pays off

Sharky and Ben’s great little write-up in last week’s Times. I absolutely love the story of how they met!

The Times - Ben and Sharky

Ben spotted “Sharky” as they waited in line to have their laptops repaired. “I noticed this very beautiful lady sitting next to me with all these very bright rings and bangles,” he says. “I spent the next 20 minutes trying to get her attention by leaning forward, coughing and tapping my hand, but not getting any response whatsoever.”

He spent the next few weeks trying to track her down online. The only information he had was Sharky’s full name, which had appeared on a screen as they waited in line.
