I documented Pablo and Davide's small civil partnership at The Old Marleybone Town Hall in London recently, they later went on to have a very casual evening reception at The Picture Gallery (now The Future Gallery) in WC2. The entire day was a very smooth operation, they knew exactly what they wanted and really bought into the notion of no posed shots.
When I have couples approach me regarding civil partnership wedding photography, the one concern has always been, 'those posed shots'. My answer, 'just be natural and you'll have no need to worry'. Have faith in your documentary wedding photographer's abilities, fully embrace their style and approach and you'll get shots to be proud of, not cringe at.
In terms of photography, it was a very rewarding wedding to document. Below are just a few of my favourites from the day.
