I've been looking forward to working with Allison and Terence again since their engagement shoot in and around London late last year. I remember it well as it was the first time I'd walked around the Kyoto Gardens in Holland Park.

It's such a tranquil and serene setting amidst the chaos and relentlessness of London and somewhere I'll certainly be visiting more often.

The light during their late autumn shoot was perfect. I have so many favourites from this 'Day in The Life' style engagement shoot and I've really had to pick my absolute favourite to keep this post, which spans three days, to a reasonable size.

The pre-wedding shoot image is followed by my documentary coverage of the parents of both Terence and Allison renewing their marriage vows. This was a complete surprise and remained a secret right up until the end of the church rehearsal on the eve of the wedding. It was so nice to meet the immediate family and friends prior to the wedding photography in London and after this short service at St Peters we walked to the nearby Belgraves for Pimms.

The wedding day, which I documented alongside Alexis, featured a variety of environments with a very fluid transition between each location giving the collection of images and chapters a particularly strong narrative.

Allison's bridal preparations were documented at their flat in South West London and from there we jumped in a cab with Terence and his best man to meet up with the ushers at The Lanesborough hotel, and after a little Dutch courage the men walked to the church to greet guests.

Breaking the day up like this gives coverage such variety, something most London weddings we document have and why we love them so much.

The marriage ceremony took place at St Peters Church in Eaton Square, just a ten-minute walk from The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge. It ran exceptionally smoothly and we were allowed to document the entire event. St Peters is nothing short of breathtaking, the architecture is spectacular and natural light floods the interior.

On returning to The Lanesborough we were treated to a classy drinks reception and an array of speeches from family and friends. After the wedding breakfast guests were encouraged down to the basement level of the hotel where a candlelit bar and pianist awaited the first dance.
