Natural wedding photography at Orchardleigh House

It's been a busy season and in my mind my most successful one to date, mainly because I'm so happy and comfortable with my style. Feedback from customers is just starting to trickle in....

We decided early on that we wanted a very high standard of photography for our wedding day, it was something that I in particular was unwilling to compromise on! We looked at several options and nothing really captured the style that we were looking for, mainly because things seemed quite formal and posed. As soon as we found Allister's website we felt instantly at ease. Once we met Allister we knew that he was the kind of person we were looking for and we loved his style and felt he could easily relate to our ideas for the day.

Allister also seemed incredibly open and very friendly from the offset - but not in a salesman type way (although this may be his secret weapon of course), which helped!

Looking back, the main thing that stands out for us is Allister's passion for great photography and producing a work of art, not just photos in an album. This seemed to inform the whole approach. He has really captured the spirit of the wedding day and the individual photos and the album are stunning. We are delighted - the photos are incredibly special to us.

I often go back to look at other photos on Allister's website and never fail to be stunned by how beautiful they are, which is one of the reasons we are coming back for a family portrait too. I suspect he won't be able get rid of us now!

Now for some photography...

I love photographing weddings in Somerset, I've been looking forward to documenting Tamasin and Stuart's wedding at Orchardleigh House in Frome for a long time.

I knew Tamasin and Stuart had a particularly keen eye and strong desire for a very natural, documentary style of wedding photography and when this was combined with the Orchardleigh Estate, which is a great wedding venue - arguably one of the best in the region, I knew it would be a satisfying day to shoot. There was also not a drop of rain in sight! So it was a perfect, picturesque summers day with fantastic views across the valley.

Tamasin arrived for the ceremony at the small and intimate church on the Orchardleigh estate - full of nerves. It was a very emotional day for the family and I am very grateful to have been a part of it.
